Business Signs as Floor Graphics

by Mary Mills on March 6, 2013

Business signs come in all shapes, sizes, and locations, including those that are stuck to the floor. Floor graphics are an effective way for businesses to promote themselves or their brands inside a building, or even outside on a sidewalk. Whether it’s in a car dealership, a restaurant, or even a retail store, these adhesive-backed business signs are attracting attention in a new space, and avoiding a lot of the signs currently seen at eye level and above.

Business SignsFor example, many brands are now using floor graphics as business signs inside supermarkets. When you’re walking into a supermarket, or heading down a particular aisle, you may have seen large colorful floor decals touting a particular product or brand. These adhesive graphics can be stuck to a high traffic walking path, which will attract a lot of attention as people walk past. Plus they’re heavy duty, so they can withstand the hundreds of feet and shopping carts that roll over them month after month.

Depending on the brand being featured in the floor decals, it may even be possible to get the manufacturer to underwrite some of the costs of these business signs.

Floor graphics can also be used as marketing messages for a particular store or restaurant. Just place these 2-D business signs outside on a sidewalk, assuming city codes allow them, and use them to attract people’s attention as they walk by. A high-pedestrian traffic area is a prime spot for sidewalk decals.

Floor graphics are not just limited to business signs. They can be used as wayfinding and directional signs in an office building or a park. They can be used on tradeshow floors for aisle markers or to indicate when visitors are entering a new hall. We’ve even seen them used as informational signs in a museum or art gallery.

Thanks to the different technologies and new materials, companies can create floor graphics that are highly durable and will stand up to regular foot traffic and dirt. For more information on floor graphics, talk to your local SIGNARAMA store today.
