At Signarama Huntington, we get to work on some interesting projects for a variety of clients. One recent project we took on was new signage for AMF Bowlmor.
Anyone who has ever bowled in their life either knows the name AMF or Bowlmor. But recently, AMF bought Bowlmor and merged the two companies and their names. This meant a whole new rebranding, with all new signs for the new company.
AMF is based out of West Virginia, and we’ve had a relationship with them for over 20 years. So with this new expansion, we were excited to be invited to bid on the new branding on their alleys in Long Island, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
Since Signarama Huntington had already been working with AMF for many years, we had a lot of their information on hand. We had built a lot of their lighted sign cabinets around the region, so this was just a matter of redoing the PVC faces. These are signs that sit between poles on the roadway for maximum viewing. Each sign is a different size, but the type of sign is nearly the same in each municipality.
In order to get a sense of what Bowlmor was about, we met with the new owners to talk about their goals for rebranding. We invited them out to see the Signarama Huntington facility, and met in the conference room for a presentation that showed our ability to manage such an important project.
Bowlmor had their own signage design firm, so we needed to show them why Signarama was the right choice for the rebranding project. They liked what we had to say, and hired us to move forward with the new campaign. We have rebranded close to 20 stores for the new company, utilizing the already-present lighted sign cabinets throughout the different markets. The company is happy, and we’re happy to be a part of this new venture.
