Signarama Troy/Madison Heights Providing Vehicle Wraps for Rock Stars

by Bob Chapa on October 31, 2013

At Signarama Troy/Madison Heights, we get to work on some special projects we’re particularly proud of. Being that our Signarama store is located in the Detroit area, we’re seeing a lot of growth that doesn’t always get covered in the media, and we get to work with some of the people who are working to make it happen.

Some of those projects are for new businesses who need new signs. Others are for companies that are expanding and growing — we put up the 1-800-LAWYERS sign last year. And still others are special Detroit brands that are making a national splash. The nice thing about working for Signarama is that we get to be involved, even on the periphery, with a lot of these cool projects.

Vehicle Wraps on Kid Rock's Wave RunnersLast year, we got to do a vehicle wrap for rock star Kid Rock, which we called “one of the coolest projects we’ve ever gotten to do.” We wrapped a pickup truck for Kid Rock’s “Bad Ass Beer,” and he took it around for his big concert tour that summer. It was even featured on The Food Channel’s Diners, Drive-ins and Dives with Kid Rock as the guest, and the show was filmed at various local restaurants here in Detroit.

Since that time, we’ve had the chance to work on some other projects for Kid Rock, to help promote some of his other brands. This past summer, we wrapped two Wave Runners for a water sports show on the Detroit River. One was for his Bad Ass Beer brand, and the other is for his Made In Detroit clothing brand.

The Wave Runners were the pace boats for the show, so we appreciated knowing our work was being seen by thousands of people. We’ve also heard he still rides these on his own.

Over the last couple years, we’ve had several opportunities to work with Kid Rock and his different companies in metro Detroit to help build up the local economy, which helps to boost the city’s attitude and morale. There’s a lot of good happening here in the Motor City, and Signarama is happy to be a part of it.
