What is a Banner Stand?

by Maggie Harlow on November 15, 2012

A banner stand can make a dramatic statement at your next event or inside your business. It’s basically a vertical sign made from banner material, and either placed in a floor stand, or even suspended from a wall or a ceiling.

When considering using a banner stand, you will want to decide if it will be permanent or portable.

A static banner stand will have a top rail and a bottom rail and always be up on display. Typically these kinds of stands use a single, heavy-duty rod that the banner is mounted to, with a top and a bottom support. Our most popular banner size is approximately 3 feet wide by 6 feet tall, but we can do a variety of sizes.Banner stands for U of Southern Indiana

The more popular banner stands are the collapsible types, like old projector screens, also called pop up banners. A lot of people like these banner stands because of their portability. They’re extremely lightweight and easy to carry. The collapsible/retractable banner stand are excellent for trade shows, where you only need the banner for a few days.

We also create banners that hang from dropped ceilings, which are commonly used in retail settings. In this setting, they make great POS signs — announcing sales, drawing customers to displays, and boosting profits — on drape rods or hung from the ceiling. Hung banners can be used in trade shows as well, although they’re usually used by show organizers. They have a railing at the top and PVC pipe at the bottom for weight with a pocket for the sign.

SIGNARAMA Downtown can create both types of banner stands, including the banner’s design and the actual stand. Rather than just doing design or just doing the printing, we have a complete package to give the customer his or her heavy-duty banner stand and any banner material they need whether vinyl, fabric, or other.
